Before You Book
Questions I Get Asked
Cost And Timing
What Does This Cost?
There's a set-up cost and then a retainer or maintenance fee. Set-up is priced according to what the work requires and is usually where the bulk of it happens. The retainer depends on what's being built, and plenty of systems need nothing at all once they're running. It's all scoped out at the beginning, from the analysis in discovery.
How Long Before Something Is Actually Running?
Most of the work is planning. I have to really understand your systems and your SOPs to a T, and then I set the whole thing up and run it end to end until it's tested and performs properly, before it's released. I'll give you a timeline once I've seen the size of the job, with updates on progress at regular intervals.
What If I Don't Hire You After The Audit?
It's yours to keep whether or not you hire me.
How The Work Runs
What Actually Happens On The First Call?
Thirty minutes, and I ask what you're busiest with. Then I do a full analysis off that conversation and whatever I can find, and I come back with the highest leverage projects, how much time each one saves you, and what it saves you monthly or yearly.
What Do You Need From Me And My Team?
Time, and your department leads. I do a full analysis of your operations, and if you've got multiple departments I want to meet each lead. After that you've got somebody in your corner who knows what they're doing so that we can customize the systems perfectly for their needs.
What If My Processes Aren't Written Down?
Most aren't. Getting them written down is part of the discovery work, and it's work I do rather than work I hand you. Clear SOPs are what make the rest of it possible, so that step is not one I skip.
How Do You Handle Training The Team?
It's mine to run, and it's in the price. I've watched a perfectly good system sit idle and unused because it was built and shipped without the accountability and training, so I keep at the revisions and the training until adoption has actually happened.
Fit And Scope
Do I Need To Understand AI To Work With You?
No. People either don't know what it's capable of, or they don't want to touch it, and they're missing a huge lever they could pull for their business. I give you mock ups after the initial analysis so you can see what it could look like.
What Kinds Of Work Are Worth Automating?
Some of it is fully automatable, some of it is a percentage, and some is better left alone. Telling you which is which is what the audit is for. Tight, clearly defined processes are the best candidates.
Can You Work With The Software We Already Use?
Usually. Most software you already pay for has a way in for other programs, and that is what I wire together. One client had HubSpot, Stripe and four other sources feeding nothing in particular; those went into one platform their team controls.
Who Owns The Systems Once They're Built?
You do. The builds are custom to your business and they stay with it.
